Job Description

This role is responsible for providing expert electrical services in residential settings, ensuring the safety, functionality, and compliance of electrical systems. The Service Electrician will diagnose and resolve electrical issues, perform installations and upgrades, and deliver outstanding customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections to diagnose electrical issues, troubleshoot problems, and provide effective solutions for residential clients.
• Perform repairs on electrical systems, including wiring, outlets, switches, circuit breakers, and other components, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
• Install, upgrade, or replace electrical panels, lighting fixtures, outlets, and other residential electrical components as needed.
• Communicate with clients in a professional and courteous manner, explaining the nature of electrical issues, proposed solutions, and any necessary preventive measures.
• Ensure that all electrical work adheres to local and national electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Respond promptly to emergency service calls, addressing urgent electrical problems and implementing timely solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and installations, providing detailed reports to clients and documenting work for compliance purposes.
• Collaborate with other electricians and trades professionals to ensure coordinated efforts for efficient project completion.
• Stay informed about the latest electrical technologies, codes, and industry trends to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid residential electrical license issued by the State of Minnesota.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Licensed Residential Service Electrician, with a proven track record of successfully handling a variety of electrical issues.
• Proficient in diagnosing electrical problems, repairing and installing residential electrical systems, and using relevant tools and equipment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to clients in an understandable manner.
• Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service and satisfaction.
• Adherence to safety protocols and awareness of potential hazards associated with electrical work.
• Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Requirements

  Ability to lift 50lbs.

  Be able to stand for up to 4hrs at a time.

  Able to kneel.
